Chobani Australia continues support for SecondBite through Coles Community Food Relief Appeal

As a participating partner in the 2026 Coles Community Food Relief Appeal, 20c in total from every Chobani product purchased at Coles between 5–18 August 2026 will be donated to SecondBite, with Chobani Australia and Coles contributing 10c each.

Chobani Australia is continuing its support for SecondBite through the 2026 Coles Community Food Relief Appeal, using its role as a participating supplier to help turn everyday grocery purchases into practical support for Australians experiencing food insecurity.

From 5 August to 18 August 2026, 20c in total from every Chobani product purchased at Coles will be donated to SecondBite, with Chobani Australia and Coles contributing 10c each. The broader Coles Community Food Relief Appeal runs from 5 August to 1 September 2026 across Coles supermarkets and Coles Online, supporting both SecondBite and Foodbank.

For Chobani Australia, the appeal is one part of a broader relationship with SecondBite – one of Chobani Australia’s core food relief partners – and reflects the business’ focus on backing expert organisations already doing practical food relief work in communities. The Chobani x SecondBite partnership includes Coles cause-related marketing activity using a product-linked donation mechanism, supported by communications and advocacy.

Over recent years, Chobani Australia’s contribution through the appeal has helped support measurable food relief outcomes. Chobani Australia’s 2025 contribution was equivalent to 2.1 million meals, while its 2024 contribution was equivalent to 2.16 million meals.

Chobani Australia General Manager ESG & General Counsel, Tim Browne, said the campaign is a practical example of how Chobani can support expert partners through the products people already know and buy.

“At Chobani Australia, we believe everyone should have access to good food. For the third year running, our partnership with Coles and SecondBite shows what’s possible when we come together – turning everyday grocery choices into meaningful impact for Australians doing it tough.”

SecondBite CEO Daniel Moorfield said support from Chobani Australia helps SecondBite continue providing food to people in need.

“The support of Chobani Australia is helping SecondBite provide vital food to people in need. Right now, millions of people across the country are struggling to put food on the table and we’re trying to make sure they don’t have to face that struggle alone. Thank you to Chobani for standing with us to make a real difference for people in need.”

The 2026 appeal comes as food insecurity remains a growing challenge in Australia, with one in three Aussie households experiencing food insecurity in the past 12 months, according to the Foodbank Hunger Report 2025.

SecondBite works with growers, manufacturers, retailers and partners to rescue and redistribute surplus food free of charge to charities, helping good food reach people who need it.

For Chobani, the appeal is a timely reminder that businesses can play a meaningful role by partnering with organisations like SecondBite, which have the expertise, networks and community relationships to respond where support is needed.

“Our role is not to claim we solve food insecurity,” Browne said. “It’s to back the experts who do the work and use what we have – our products, people, platforms and partnerships – and help strengthen practical support over time.”

Shoppers can support the appeal by purchasing Chobani products at Coles between 5 August and 18 August 2026.
